My English Learning in Macao
It’s a good chance for me to attend the training at Bell Teacher Campus in Macao. During these five days, I was modest in learning, and I thought I made an improvement in English teaching skills, teaching methods and teaching theoretical level, etc.
Some teaching methods gave me an unforgettable impression, such as cultural understanding and teaching English, making materials relevant and personalized, word games in English and so on.
For example, in Michael’s lectures, all of us discussed and shared our ideas and we practiced with great enthusiasm. At first, we cooperated to find out the Teacher Language Problems, the reasons and the solutions. Then Michael explained seven kinds of problems for teaching language as the following terms: a. Speed of delivery. b. Projection or Articulation. c. Question-stacking. d. Instruction-stacking. e. Prefacing. f. Mental language. g. Echoing. At last, he analyzed the problems, told us the reasons and some wonderful solutions. They’re helpful for me to control the classroom teaching and master more and more successful English teaching experience and teaching ideas.
I was so happy to spend five busy and happy days with my colleagues. I improved my oral English and also the English teaching skills. So, many thanks for having this chance! I will keep learning and working hard, and I will do much better in the next term.
